I love to learn foreign languages,i’m a high school student and want to enter a university which can learn foreign languages but because of my worse maths,so it is hard to enter.my dream is to learn 4 foreign languages at least(i hope i could chat with all people from all over the world wherever the people belong ) i want to be a translator in future, whatever and whenever i read a book i always want to translate it into English, what should i do?

And I love it, but I’ve been reading a lot of posts on here and noticed that it’s very difficult to get steady, well paid work as a translator(unless you work at the UN , which very selective) .
I also noticed that by majoring in Finance, Business, Medicine, Technology or anything else not Lib. Arts related better opportunities will arise.
So my question is this, if I’m interested in Foreign languages, is it a good choice to attempt to kill two birds with one stone and minor in FL, but then major in one of the above non-LA choices? Thanks!

I want something that will help me communicate when I travel this summer. I’m planning on being in France and Italy at least, and would like to be able to learn some basic phrases at the very least, and more if possible. Thanks so much!!

I have to have two years of foreign language credits and I was wondering what language I should take? Basically I’ve narrowed it down to French or Spanish, but if there’s one easier than that, I’ll be glad to look into that, as well. Any suggestions? I can pretty much take any language I wish, because I’m taking it online instead of learning it at my actual school. Foreign languages rather scare me so I have to do them over the summer when I’m not so stressed about other things.

I want to have a career that has something to do with foreign languages, even though I am only in French 1. I don’t know if I want to be a translator because of the low salary, but what other careers are out there that utilize languages? Thank you in advance!
