I am looking for a software program (similar to Rosetta Stone) that will teach me how to speak French. I take a class in school, but the language teacher isn’t very good, so I’d like to learn more. Does anyone know of any programs that are less expensive then Rosetta Stone, but are still quality software? I’ve looked around, but I can’t really tell what’s good.
What are some really good FREE Language Software Programs that I can learn how to speak french from?

I am interested in learning how to speak French, but all the programs that I have tried are demos and they don’t offer a whole lot in the demo versions. Also, I already know enough French vocabulary, but I’m interested in learning conversational French, so I can actually communicate with people and not just know how to say single words. So I don’t know maybe you know of a great software program that will have all this and will be helpful to me. There’s got to be something out there that was created for non-profit so it won’t cost me anything. Thanks for your help!

I need to read French for graduate school-but I want to be fluent in it, not just be able to read it. I thought about Rosetta Stone since I really would rather have a software program for the computer rather than a book and audio C.D. I don’t care much for the audio C.D.s. Any suggestions would be great.
